Abstract
After achieving great victories in Iran and Mesopotamia and subordinating Asia Minor and Armenia, Hülegü created a Dynastic rule in the conquered lands, which were formal followers of the central Mughal court at the beginning and Gradually gained full political independence. The establishment of the Ilkhanid government and ruling on Iran, after the fall of the Abbasids, is highly considered from the perspective of Iran's political identity evolution process. However, the quality of the establishment of Ilkhanid governmentis an issue that needs to be reconsidered and reviewed once more. Many historical studies have investigated the establishment of Ilkhanid government based on evidence from Iranian historiography of Mongol era with the focus on Hülegü Khan’s mission in the West with the permission and cooperation of the central Mughal court.
