The decoration and interior decorations of houses in Qajar era Iran were the attention of many Iranians and they tried to reflect their social distinctions through this. This research, using the descriptive-analytical method and using historical sources and texts and the application of Bourdieu's theory of social differentiation, seeks to find a suitable answer to these questions: What is the role of the interior decoration of houses in Iran during the Qajar era? in reflecting the distinctions between social classes? What was the attitude of the nobles and nobles towards this issue? How did the lower classes or the mass of people look at the issue of interior decoration of houses? They sought to show their identity, and their taste for art and beauty, the inferior and deprived sections of the society sought to satisfy their basic and basic needs in this matter.
The findings of the research show that the upper classes in the matter of decoration and interior decorations of their houses, because they were seeking to show their identity and distinction, as a result, they paid a lot of attention to the decorations, luxuries and aesthetic dimensions inside the house. while the lower classes saw the same thing more based on necessity and an attitude based on meeting their basic needs, and therefore elements such as cheapness, simplicity and lack of luxury and durability or longevity of consumption are more fashionable. It was their opinion.
