The present article examines the types of national, religious, and ethnic identities in the Jangal newspaper, as the official organ of the Mirzakochak Khan movement. Given the importance of identity in the formation of social movements, this study seeks to answer the question of how different identities are reflected in the newspaper and which of these identities have had the greatest impact on mobilizing forces and shaping the Jangal movement. To achieve this goal, the quantitative content analysis method has been used and all 38 issues of the Jangal newspaper have been examined as the statistical population. The unit of analysis in this study is the paragraph and concepts related to national, religious, and ethnic identities have been identified and coded. The research findings show that national identity, with a frequency of 88.8 percent, has received the most attention in the Jangal newspaper. Components such as emphasis on territory and land, the Iranian nation, the government, and the glorious Iranian past have had the greatest contribution to this identity. Religious identity, with a frequency of 10 percent, is in second place, and more emphasis is placed on religious beliefs and practices. Ethnic identity, with a frequency of only 1.2%, received the least attention and was mostly raised in the form of local Gilaki poems and an emphasis on the land of Guilan as part of Iran. These findings show that the main goal of the Forest Movement was to preserve the national identity of Iranians and the independence of Iran,
