During the Mongol domination and the establishment of the Ilkhanid government in Iran, the issue of Mahdism grew significantly. The presence of alien elements who had non-Islamic religion and their domination of the Islamic society and country caused sedition and corruption, chaos, wars, tax increases and chaos. In such circumstances, the people felt more than ever the need for a reformer who would put an end to all oppression and tyranny with his arrival. In this period, expectation and saviorism penetrated the ideas and thoughts of the people (Shiites) and even non-Shiites, more than any other age. ‌In some cities, people went to the city gates every day waiting for a savior and waited for the absent Imam ‌. In this study, the causes of the emergence and growth of the idea of saviorism and Mahdism and their consequences, including the use of the idea of saviorism by the insurgents have been studied in a descriptive and analytical manner. اعتقاد به ظهور امام‌زمان،یکی از ارکان ‌اساسی مذهب ‌تشیع امامی است که در طول تاریخ ‌اسلام و تشیع جریان داشته است. در دوره تسلط مغولان و تأسیس حکومت ایلخانی در ایران مسئله منجی‌گرایی‌ (مهدویت) رشد بسزایی یافت‌. حضور عناصر بیگانه با مذهب غیر‌اسلامی و مسلط شدن‌ بر جامعه و مملکت اسلامی‌ باعث بروز، فتنه و فساد، هرج‌ومرج، بروز جنگ‌ها، افزایش مالیات‌ها و آشفتگی اوضاع شد. در چنین شرایطی، مردم بیش از هر زمان دیگری، احساس نیاز به مصلحی را داشتند که با آمدنش به تمامی ظلم و جورها پایان بخشد. در این دوره، انتظار ‌و منجی‌گرایی‌، بیش از عصرهای دیگر در عقاید و افکار‌مردم ‌(شیعیان) و حتی‌ غیر‌شیعیان رسوخ کرد‌. به‌طوری‌که ‌در برخی از شهرها هر روز مردم به انتظار منجی به دروازۀ شهرها می‌رفتند و به انتظار امام‌ غایب می‌نشستند‌. در این پژوهش علل پیدایش و رشد اندیشۀ منجی‌گرایی و مهدویت و پیامدهای آن ازجمله بهره‌برداری قیام‌کنندگان از اندیشۀ منجی‌گرایی به روش توصیفی‌تحلیلی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. https://tuhistory.tabrizu.ac.ir/article_12606_f8f3d1218d6449ad7e6ef3d1c0047754.pdf
