The city of Tabriz, after being in the hands of the Ottoman Empire about eighteen and a half years, was recaptured by the military action of Shah Abbas I of Safavid. This period was the longest time that the city of Tabriz remained under the reign of the Ottoman government, and it was the first and the last time that it was annexed to the territory of a hostile country through an official treaty; Because before and after this date, it experienced military occupation by the Ottomans. This event is narrated difrently in Safavid and Ottoman sources. This research is a comparative study of these two narratives as an example of the differences and similarities of the historiography of an event in two hostile fronts. The writing method of the article is descriptive-analytical, and it has been provided in the library method by referring to Iranian and Ottoman works.
